Meet the Team
As the issues of aging are not limited to medical concerns, neither is Accountable Aging, Inc. (AAI). Here's our multidisciplinary team:
Mary Koffend, President, is a specialist in eldercare services and government-funded programs and is gifted in supporting families and facilitating communication.
Mick Koffend, Director of Services, wears many hats at AAI. In addition to his role as Care Manager, Mick is the Marketing Director and is responsible for the business infrastructure.
Mary Pat Smith, MSN, RN, is a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) in Gerontology who evaluates client needs in a holistic, compassionate and knowledgeable manner.
Heidi Shanklin-Spock, LMSW, Care Manager, works with clients and field professionals to determine and coordinate the resources that will best match the client's needs.
Diane Hayes, RN, adds diversity to the team with her varied experience. As a Registered Nurse for 26 years, Diane, has worked in many settings.
Deb Roush, RN, adds additional depth and breadth to the team focusing on medication management and home health issues.
Mary Cooper, RN, has clinical experience in a variety of settings including hospital nursing in acute and intensive care, hospice, and home health care.
Shannon O'Connor, Care Coordinator and the AAI point of contact for the Dallas community, has a unique ability to listen carefully to clients, assess situations and identify appropriate, caring solutions.
Ruth Rivette, Office Manager, keeps the office running and ensures that client needs are addressed in a timely and efficient manner.
Janet Troutman, Client Relations Manager, is often the caring voice on the other end of the phone when a senior or their family member contacts AAI.
Steve Doss, Chaplain, brings true emotional and spiritual support to AAI clients and a valuable perspective to the team.
Additionally, AAI has arrangements with experienced nurses from various specialties (i.e. cardiology, psychiatry, endocrinology, oncology, etc .) who provide us with expert advice needed to properly address the challenges caused by healthcare issues impacting clients and their families.
